McInerney law firm, llc
Jenny McInerney
At McInerney Law, we assist individuals and families with a variety of important legal matters. Our primary practice areas include Wills and Trusts, Special Needs Planning, Estate Administration, Trust Administration, Business Succession Planning/Formation, Guardianships (and alternatives), and Conservatorships.
When meeting with clients, I draw from my personal and expansive professional experiences. I believe that planning is a gift to your loved ones. By adequately preparing for an unexpected (or expected) illness or death, you can eliminate or reduce the stress and pressures placed on loved ones during an otherwise emotional time. In your estate planning, you will address legal, medical, and spiritual beliefs and wishes. Many of these wishes are deeply personal and, in many cases, have never been openly discussed. To me, the process of facing these otherwise difficult questions is an act of love. By clearly spelling out your final wishes through our estate planning process, you ensure that your wishes have been communicated and reduce potential conflict among the loved ones you leave behind.
Every estate plan is unique and different.
At McInerney Law, we counsel clients and provide representation on tax and non-tax aspects of estates, trusts, and financial planning. We advise clients about estate planning opportunities as they apply to each client's situation. The drafting projects are typically sophisticated when the family's estate situation is complex, and may include preparation of wills, the creation of various trusts, formation of limited liability companies, execution of powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.
Estate planning with McInerney Law includes the following general areas:
The preparation of and execution of wills, trusts and other appropriate documents
Charitable planning tools, such as charitable trusts and donor advised funds
Probate and trust administration
Representation of charitable, non-profit and other tax-exempt entities
Representation in will contests and other related court disputes
Formation and administration of limited liability companies
We represent charitable organizations in formation, governance compliance and other matters. We further assist clients with advising on and structuring various types of lifetime and testamentary charitable giving, including donor advised funds, trusts and other planning techniques.
We handle will petitions, contests and litigation seeking the proper construction of wills and trusts. We regularly practice throughout the state. Jenny McInerney began practicing special needs estate planning and elder law after a personal experience with her daughter and her stepdad. She handles every case with the compassion she would provide to her children and her own family. Jenny’s sense of compassion is not the only advantage of retaining her as counsel - she is a strong advocate for her clients and a trained mediator. Jenny works towards reaching a resolution and solving problems for her clients, rather than escalating conflict. The firm has a proven track record of obtaining excellent legal outcomes.
